AND VOLUNTEER SUPPORT
GROUP FACILITATOR
REQUIRED AT THE MULBERRY
CENTRE.
(CANCER SUPPORT AND INFORMATION CENTRE BASED ON THE SITE OF THE WEST
MIDDLESEX UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN ISLEWORTH, MIDDLESEX)
Counsellors:
Are you in your final
year of a three/four year counselling/psychotherapy training?
Are you working toward
BACP/UKCP accreditation?
Would you like to counsel
in a 'welcoming and supportive' environment?
Would you like to receive
clinical supervision?
Volunteers must
demonstrate experience of working within a six week time frame with a
minimum of 50 client contact hours.

Support Group Facilitator:
The centre is seeking a
volunteer Support Group facilitator.
The
successful applicant will already have experience of facilitating
support groups but will be seeking to enhance their experience.

Yakeen Counselling
Service, part of Diwa Asian Women's Network (DAWN) provides
person-centred one-to-one counselling support and group work to Asian
Women residing in the Borough of Harrow. At present they are seeking
female Asian volunteer counsellors who speak an Asian language. They are

EACH is an
organisation offering Ethnic Alcohol Counselling in Hounslow. They
are based in Hanworth Road, Hounslow and offer a free and confidential
counselling service for people with alcohol problems and their friends and
families. They offer services in Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Gujerati,
Farsi, Arabic and English. There are also EACH branches in Brent and
Harrow

The Royal Holloway College, Student Counselling Service
recruit volunteer associate counsellors with an integrative counselling
approach. Counsellors will need to be able to be available for one
half day a week taking on a minimum of 3 clients, Counsellors need to be
qualified to diploma level, have an integrative counselling approach and
working towards accreditation. Experience of working with young people
,of working with mental health issues and in a multi-cultural setting is
desirable. We aim to offer a
prompt response to students in need and as such we offer short-term
counselling ideally 4-6 sessions so experience of and to willingness to
work within a time- limited framework is essential.
In return we offer fortnightly
individual supervision ,ongoing training workshops and assistance with
accreditation issues .We have recently been re-accredited as a service
with the BACP and offer a friendly and supportive working environment.
The Counselling Service is located
in the Founders Building of Royal Holloway College/University of London.
The campus is based outside central London at Egham, Surrey.It is just
off junction 13 of the M25 and is a 40 minute train ride from London
Waterloo station.
